Take advantage of our Womens Winter and Spring Ski series for 3 hours of on-hill time to develop your skills in a supportive, fun and rewarding environment. Extras may include video analysis, discussions on gear selection, innovations, fitness and health and guest skiers to give you fresh perspectives.

Our freestyle orientation is aimed at making your transition from groomers to kickers, or rollers to half pipes a smoother and safer deal. We’ll run you through the fundamentals that help bring freestyle from fumbling fantasy to controlled reality by covering the cause and effect relationships between approach, takeoff, maneuver and landing, as well as safety and etiquette in the park. If you’re been wondering where to start, this is it!

The Educational School Program is an exciting way to bring school students to the mountain as part of a midweek school fitness curriculum. Public, Private, Charter and Home schools from throughout Northern California and Southern Oregon are invited to bring students to the Mount Shasta Ski Park. This season we teamed up with Shasta Mountain Guides to offer you backcountry guided ski and snowboarder excursions from the resort. We will take you “Beyond the Boundaries” into the best of the best untracked stashes of powder in open glades, tucked away chutes, or through a giant moss covered old growth forest. The views from our backcountry warming hut and surrounding terrain is unprecedented. Best of all, you will be touring in the shadow of the awe inspiring and majestic Mt. Shasta.
Our backcountry guides are among the elite group of mountaineering guides from the Shasta Mountain Guide staff. They are experts in safe off-piste touring and in finding the secret stashes “Beyond the Boundaries”.
This is an all day backcountry educational experience with personalized instruction on the use of backcountry gear, safe travel, snow science, and the use of an avalanche transceiver.
Tours include a lift ticket and each guest is provided an avalanche transceiver and lunch. Participants should be a strong intermediate rider and in good physical condition. Contact the learning center to reserve your spot.
Equipment needed:
Telemark, Randone or splitboard with skins to fit.
Backpack, Aluminum shovel, probe, water.
Warm gloves, goggles or sunglasses, helmet recommended.
